Zusammenfassung

Im Gegensatz zu impliziten Gedächtnisleistungen zeigen Ältere Einbußen des expliziten Lernens und Erinnerns (Knopf, 1997). Diese betreffen verschiedene Aspekte expliziter Leistungen in unterschiedlicher Weise: Manch älterer Mensch kann vom Krieg, aber kaum vom Mittagessen berichten. Ersteres hat mit semantischem Altwissen, letzteres mit episodischem Neulernen zu tun. Innerhalb expliziter Leistungen findet sich

  • keine Reduktion des Primärgedächtnisses (Kurzzeit-Gedächtnis)

  • ein deutliches Absinken sekundärer Behaltensleistungen (mittel- und langfristiges Gedächtnis)

  • ein relativ stabiles Tertiär-, semantisches und episodisches (autobiographisches) Altgedächtnis (La Rue, 1992).
