Zusammenfassung
In Deutschland sind ca. 800 Patienten mit homozygoter Erkrankung bekannt, die Anzahl der Träger liegt bei geschätzten 30.000. Die Patienten stammen vor allem aus Zentralafrika und arabischen Ländern, selten aus Griechenland und Süditalien.
