Abstract
The keys consist of a basic key which refers to three main keys (A, B, C), either leading to a family or a genus. In the following survey on families (p. 28) all considered families and genera are listed in systematic sequence. The keys to families allow the determination of all genera and also partly of species dealt with in this book. in a case when the family of the plant in question is known, one can also start with this particular key. further keys exist for genera with more than one listed species, leading to a species name, with reference to the page number in the main part of the book. a large number of species, though rarely known as agricultural weeds, has been incorporated in this key to avoid misdeterminations. these additional species are not listed in the main part of this book. they are marked with * instead of a reference to a page number.
