Abstract

Aneurysmal SAH causes various life-threatening complications such as cerebral vasospasm, brain swelling and increased intracranial pressure, oedema and ischaemia, all of which may be interrelated. The recent emphasis on strategy of aneurysm surgery upon earlier operation stresses the need for precise understanding of mechanisms of pathology of aneurysmal SAH.
