Zusammenfassung
Die Urogenitalen Carcinome beim Mann (Carcinome des Hodens, der Prostata, der Blase und der Niere) und bei der Frau (Carcinome der Cervix, des Corpus, des Ovars, der Blase und der Niere) stellen eine bedeutende Krankheitsgruppe dar. In den Ländern der Europäischen Union beträgt der Anteil dieser Carcinome an allen Neuerkrankungen bei den Männern 27%, bei den Frauen 19%. Der entsprechende Anteil an allen Krebstodesfällen beträgt bei den Männern 18%, bei den Frauen 15% (Angaben für 1995, Quelle: IARC, 1999). Trendanalysen werden am Beispiel österreichischer Daten dargestellt. Die Hinweise auf die Ätiologie beziehen sich in erster Linie auf exogene Noxen.
