Abstract
The endoscopic endonasal transsphenoidal approach to the pituitary requires the anatomical knowledge not only of its target, for example the sella turcica region. An intimate knowledge of each nasal structure passed through by the surgeon, such as the inner nose and the adjacent paranasal sinuses, is a prerequisite.
