Abstract
The sphenoidotomy is the opening of the sphenoid sinus via the amplification of its natural ostium. The route may be transethmoidal or through the sphenoidal rostrum in the sphenoethmoidal recess. This last method is the most secure to be able to work on the content of the sphenoid sinus.
