Endoscopic dacryocystorhinostomy

The fundamental anatomical references for this procedure are the nasolacrimal sac, the projection of the nasolacrimal duct on the lateral nasal wall in the preturbinal area and the agger nasi cells. The nasolacrimal sac is found near the anterior end of the middle turbinate, and is separated from the posterior ethmoid only by the wall of the unguis (lacrimal bone), forming a bony wall with the frontal process of the maxilla.
