Abstract

Precursors of the actual onset of Dupuytren’s disease are a burning sensation, itching, and tension (HAUER et al., 1978; MEYER, 1991). Increasingly, patients complain about localized nerve irritations, impaired fitness for use, or the inability to work as a result of the deforming flexion contracture (BucK-GRAMcKo, 1976; FLINT, 1990).
