Zusammenfassung
Mit den Mitteln der eindimensionalen Schallausbreitung lassen sich die verschiedensten Reflexions- und Durchlässigkeitsprobleme lösen. Die an einer Trennfläche zweier Medien reflektierte Welle überlagert sich der einfallenden Welle und erzeugt so eine stehende und eine fortschreitende Welle. Das Verhältnis der Maxima und Minima des Schalldruckes und deren Lage ermöglicht eine genaue Bestimmung der akustischen Eigenschaften des reflektierenden Mediums (Methode der stehenden Wellen zur Messung akustischer Impedanzen). Durch Benützung komplexer Phasenkonstanten können schließlich die für starre Reflektoren gewonnenen Ergebnisse für absorbierende Flächen erweitert werden.
