Zusammenfassung
Die homogenen Schallschluckstoffe absorbieren den Schall infolge ihrer inneren Reibung; sie müssen an den Wellenwiderstand des angrenzenden Mediums angepaßt werden. Da der Wellenwiderstand der homogenen Stoffe aber immer viel größer ist als der der Luft, eignen sie sich für Luftschallabsorption nur ausnahmsweise. Auf Grund der inneren Reibung des Materials ergibt sich ein komplexer Wert der Schallgeschwindigkeit, dessen Betrag größer ist als in ungedämpftem Material.
