Zusammenfassung
Die Raumakustik zerfällt in die geometrische Raumakustik und die Nachhall -akustik. Die geometrische Raumakustik bedient sich der anschaulichen Methoden. der geometrischen Optik; ihre Hauptaufgabe ist es, große Lauf Zeitdifferenzen, Echos und Brennpunkte zu vermeiden und den Hörer mit möglichst viel Nutzschall zu versorgen. Sie zeigt, daß schwach konkav gekrümmte Flächen immer Brennpunkteigenschaften aufweisen und daher die Hörsamkeit besonders gefährden, während Flächen mit kleineren Krümmungsradien in der Regel weniger schädlichsind. Als günstig kennzeichnet sie eine Unterteilung des Raumes durch weit hervorspringende Galerien.
