Zusammenfassung
Die Entdeckung des „schweren“ Wassers durch Urey, Brickwedde und Murphy (1932) eröffnete der Wasserelektrolyse neue Perspektiven, als Washburn und Urey feststellen konnten1, daß sich das schwere Wasser im zurückbleibenden Elektrolyten anreichert, so daß die Elektrolyse einen bequemen Weg eröffnet, ein konzentrierteres Ausgangsmaterial zu liefern.
