Zusammenfassung
Der Betrieb einer Kläranlage bedarf häufig einer sachkundigeren Führung als es bei einem industriellen Prozeß notwendig ist, da große zeitliche Schwankungen in Menge und Zusammensetzung des Abwassers vorkommen. Wenn man jedoch Kläranlagen mit Anlagen für industrielle Verfahren vergleicht, so sind sie in bezug auf die Betriebsführung meist in einem primitiven Zustande. Offenkundige Fehlschläge, wie z. B. eine Blähschlammbildung oder das Sauerwerden von Faulräumen, kommen recht häufig vor. Wesentliche Änderungen des Wirkungsgrades von Anlagen sind keine Seltenheit, und zwar nicht nur bei verschiedenen Anlagen, sondern bei ein- und derselben Anlage von Tag zu Tag und von Stunde zu Stunde. Es ist nicht ungewöhnlich, daß der Wirkungsgrad des BSBs — Abbaues zwischen 60% und 95% schwankt. Thoman1 hat anhand der statistisch ausgewerteten Ablaufqualität von acht Anlagen gezeigt, daß solche Schwankungen eine deutliche Auswirkung auf die Wassergüte des Vorfluters haben können.
