Abstract
Astrodynamics and Planetary Research. In the article the possibility of research of the nearest planets by means of unmanned space vehicles is discussed. In order to obtain an artificial satellite revolving around a planet, a retro-rocket to decelerate near the planet will be required. The problem to direct this retro-rocket has been considered as well as the problem of orbit observation after the action of the retro-rocket. By using a group of four vehicles moving as a cluster to the object planet and being decelerated one after the other, the possibility can be created to obtain all data required for the determination of the orbital motion after deceleration. At the same time, the four satellites can move in different orbit planes around the planet for scanning the spatial distribution of the planetary magnetic field and corresponding regions of radiation. By such a system of artificial satellites also the direct research of the spatial distribution of the high planetary atmosphere will become possible.
