Zusammenfassung
Zinn zählt zur Gruppe der wichtigen strategischen Metalle. Die größten Zinnmengen werden für die Weißblechherstellung verwendet, d. h. etwa 38%, ferner wird Zinn als Lötzinn (etwa 23%) verwendet, weiters für Bronzen und Messing etwa 20% und für Anti-friktionslegierungen (Babbitmetall) etwa 5%; in kleineren Mengen findet Zinn seine Anwendung zur Herstellung von Chemikalien, zu Verzinnungszwecken u. dgl.
