Zusammenfassung

Wie die Erfahrung zeigt, kann man auch bei der sogenannten Radikaloperation von Tumorkranken nie sicher sein, wirklich alle Tumorzellen entfernt zu haben; es können schon kleinste Tochterabsiedlungen in tumorfernen Organen vorhanden sein oder es kann durch die Manipulation der Operation selbst eine Propagation gefördert werden (Borrmann, Dick, Knox, Mayo, Smith, Tyzzer). Eine Kombination der chirurgischen Behandlung mit Chemotherapeutika könnte vielleicht die Erfolgsaussichten bessern.
