Plane Problems for Fibre-Reinforced Linearly Elastic Solids

In this section we examine plane problems for fibre-reinforced materials. The constraints which were described in the previous sections may be built into linear elasticity to yield very simple systems of equations. We first consider an incompressible material which is reinforced by a single family of inextensible fibres which are parallel to the x1-axis. The constraints are
