Abstract

If the following succeeds in giving a brief outline of present day possibilities of treating glaucomas with drugs, the aim is to provide an introductory basis to the clinical part dealing with the main issue of the symposium, a synopsis of which is now presented in this book. Even although most doctors will be familiar with the problems from their everyday experience, this summary is intended to accentuate the specific possibilities of the substance dealt with in the following papers and to illustrate clearly the position it occupies in the system of therapy.
