Abstract

The transcutaneous pre- and postoperative Doppler sonographic study of cervical vessels 26, 172 and the postoperative control of the patency and the flow of the extra-intracranial anastomosis 6, 24, 124 are standard examination techniques for occlusive diseases. Intraoperatively, the method is used transcutaneously to localize the donor artery 86, 124, 174, 187 and also to test the patency and to measure flow126.
