Acute Aneurysm Surgery

Abstract

Fig. VIII-1 shows the distribution of aneurysms experienced in our clinic until December, 1982. The distribution is similar to the larger series of Suzuki, and to all Japan and USA series (Suzuki and Yoshimoto 1979). Specifically, 89.9% of aneurysms are located in the anterior half of the circle of Willis or its branches, 2.3% are located in the intracavernous portion of the internal carotid artery, and 7.8% in the vertebral-basilar system.
