Leiomyosarcoma is a rare soft tissue tumor of the adult, mostly originating from the walls of the vessels (especially the veins), or from the errectores pilorum smooth muscular cells. The distinction of well differentiated leiomyosarcoma from leiomyoma may be difficult.
