The Effects of Radiation on the Skeleton and Radiation Induced Sarcomas (of Bone and Soft Tissues)

Internal radiation as well as external radiation produce similar effects on the skeleton. These effects consist of necrotic changes, which are constant if a certain radiation dose is exceeded and, very rarely, include the development of a sarcoma.
