Parosteal Osteosarcoma

Juxtacortical Osteosarcoma
  • Mario Campanacci

This osteosarcoma, originating at the surface of the bone, is characterized by the production of abundant mineralized bone, the low-grade of anaplasia (1–2), and a slow, indolent course. Occasionally the tumor may have at presentation or assume in the course of time a higher grade of malignancy.
