Pigmented Villo-Nodular Synovitis

Synovial Giant Cell Tumor
  • Mario Campanacci

Abstract

Pigmented villonodular synovitis (PVNS)1 is a proliferative disorder of the synovium, occurring in a joint, a tendon sheath, or a synovial bursa. The nature of the lesion is more likely hyperplastic than neoplastic, but the causative factors are unknown.
