Zusammenfassung
Die Verbrennung stellt den entscheidenden Vorgang im Arbeitsprozess des Verbrennungsmotors dar. Der starke Anstieg von Temperatur und Druck infolge der Verbrennung liefert die Nutzarbeit der Verbrennungskraftmaschine, verursacht aber auch den Wandwärmeverlust und ist für die Schadstoffbildung verantwortlich.
