Zusammenfassung

Alle psychischen Prozesse gehen mit ununterbrochenen Aktivitätsmustern des Gehirns einher. Die körperlichen Grundlagen der Angstentstehung können nach fünf verschiedenen Aspekten dargestellt werden:

  1. 1.

    vererbte Reaktionsbereitschaft (angeborene Schreck- und Angstreaktionen),

  2. 2.

    neuroanatomische Ursachen (Gehirnstrukturen),

  3. 3.

    biochemische Ursachen (Neurotransmitterwirkungen),

  4. 4.

    metabolische Ursachen (Stoffwechselveränderungen),

  5. 5.

    neuroendokrinologische Ursachen (hormonell bedingte Veränderungen im vegetativen Nervensystem).
