Abstract

The Donauspital is the most recent major new hospital construction undertaken by the city of Vienna.1 It is a showcase hospital with 933 beds; along with two departments of internal medicine, it also houses specialist facilities for neurology; general surgery; traumatology; neurosurgery; orthopedics; ear, nose, and throat; urology; dermatology; nuclear medicine; radio-oncology; pediatrics; pediatric surgery; and psychiatry. Outpatient clinics in all specialties round out the range of services provided.
