Abstract

The effects of anaesthetics on cerebral circulation, metabolism, ICP, brain tissue metabolites are reviewed. A summary of clinical studies of CBF and CMRO2 during craniotomy for cerebral tumors then follows as well as a review of the sitting position used in neurosurgical anaesthesia.
