Abstract

In viewing the field of organometallic chemistry one is struck by the fact that, except for highly electronegative groups and unsaturated groups capable of accepting back-bonding, little use has been made of CHATT’s original suggestion that much could be gained by considering organic radicals in organometallic compounds as ligands.
