The Preparation and Properties of Rare Earth Hexafluoroacetylacetonates

Abstract

Reports on the preparation of metal hexafluoroacetylacetonates (hfaa) have recently been published in which these chelates were proposed as a possible means for the separation of metal cations (1, 2). The work presented here deals with the preparation of rare earth chelates of hfaa.
