Abstract
In order to determine experimentally the character of metal-ligand bonds in tris -2, 2’ -dipyridyl-complexes of transition metals in low oxidation states the electron paramagnetic resonance of the ions [Cr(I)dip3]+, [V(O)dip3] and [Ti (-I)dip3]- was studied. The electronic configuration of these compounds is (3d)5. Their paramagnetism is due to one unpaired electron as demonstrated by the magnetic moments of 2, 05, 1,80 and 1, 72 B.M. respectively (1).
