Metal Complexes of Thio-Derivatives of β-Diketones

Abstract

In 1901 WERNER (1) reported the first metal chelate of acetylacetone and since then the study of metal complexes of β-diketones has been actively pursued. We have prepared thioderivatives RC(SH =CHCOR’ (where R = Me, R’ = Me, Ph, OEt; where R = Ph; R’ = Ph, OEt) of β-diketones in order to study their metal complexes.
