Formation and Stability of Mixed and Polynuclear Complexes in Non-Aqueous Solutions

Abstract

The study of coordination phenomena in non-aqueous solutions has at least twofold importance. On the one hand the comparison of results obtained in different solvents may give valuable information even about the chemistry of aqueous solutions, on the other hand the non-aqueous solvent makes possible the study of particular reactions which cannot occur in aqueous solution due to the limited solubility and to disturbing side reactions. the subject matter of the present paper illustrates both the above mentioned features.
