Unusual Carbon Bridging Groups in Binuclear Complexes

  • O. S. Mills

Abstract

A review of currently published structural investigations of binuclear transition metal complexes shows that where bridging groups are found there are at least two groups present, or alternatively one group with two atoms which are equidistant from the metals eg. Co2(CO)6RC2R′. Metal-carbon distances and distortion of bond angles at these bridging carbon centres are discussed.
