Zusammenfassung

Einer Besprechung der „Angina pectoris“ müssen einige Bemerkungen über die Nomenklatur vorausgehen, da diese ziemlich verworren ist und einer Vereinheitlichung bedarf. Die Nomenklatur von Krankheiten ist mit unserer Kenntnis ihrer Ursache oder Entstehungsweise eng verbunden. In der Vergangenheit wurde mit Erklärungsversuchen der Angina pectoris viel Verwirrung gestiftet und Huchard zählte 80 Theorien auf, welche ihre Ursache verständlich machen sollten. Nur wenige andere Gebiete haben jedoch in der Medizin in den letzten Jahren gleich große Fortschritte erfahren. Wir haben den Eindruck, daß die Entwicklung der Nomenklatur mit diesem Fortschritt nicht ganz Schritt gehalten hat.
