Zusammenfassung

Der Ausdruck „Myokarderkrankung“ wird für eine ungleichartige Gruppe von Affektionen gebraucht und schließt nach allgemeiner Ansicht primäre Schädigungen des Myokards, eine sekundäre Beteiligung des Herzmuskels im Verlauf von verschiedenen Erkrankungen sowie die mit den Koronarerkrankungen einhergehenden Myokardschäden in sich. Die große Bedeutung der Myokarderkrankungen für die Volksgesundheit geht aus ihrer Häufigkeit klar hervor.
