In using electric measures for pain control — the main feature of this presentation — the reader is reminded that selection of monophasic impulses (pg. 21, 24), i.e. proper equipment, is a prerequisite for optimal effects of therapy. Select the equipment from data presented in table 2 (pg. 26–29). Additional measures supporting electrotherapy in various areas or various conditions and various types of pain should be recalled and taken into consideration when establishing a plan for therapy instead of adhering monomanically to electrotherapy only.
