Zusammenfassung
Unter Reststickstoff (RN) versteht man alle jene Stickstoffverbindungen des Serums, die in Lösung bleiben, nachdem man das Eiweiß gefällt hat (RN ist also der Nicht-Eiweiß-Stickstoff). Daraus ergibt sich zwangsläufig, daß die RN-Menge davon abhängt, wie man enteiweißt. Unter der Annahme, daß eine vollständige Enteiweißung durchgeführt wurde, erfaßt der RN hauptsächlich die harnpflichtigen Stoffe des Blutes und die Aminosäuren.
