Abstract

This study consists of three parts. The first deals with the anatomical bases and the comparative anatomy of the blood supply of the spinal cord; in the second part a critical attempt is made to point out the features that have a special importance in the functional anatomy and pathophysiology of the spinal circulation, and in the third problems of the general pathology of spinal blood supply and the pathogenesis of vascular and circulatory disorders of the spinal cord are discussed.
