Methods of Theoretical Analysis of Plated Structures

  • V. Krístek
Part of the CISM International Centre for Mechanical Sciences book series (CISM, volume 358)

Various methods of analysis of thin-walled structures are presented and mutually compared. Stemming from the classical approaches, which are still valuable because of their clearness, simplicity, analytical formulation, closed form solutions, and possible hand calculations, the more advanced methods, exact or approximate, which take advantages of capabilities of digital computers, are discussed.
