Instability of the Flame Front in a Two-Front Detonation Wave
Let us consider the distributions of gasdynamical parameters which correspond to a steady planar detonation wave with a two-front structure (Fig. 1) and let us take these distributions as the initial state of the gas on both sides of the flame front. As it was previously told the use of the conservation laws on the flame front only is unsufficient to determine the gas motion which arises from the initial state under consideration; it is necessary to prescribe the velocity of flame propagation through the unburnt gas.
