Abstract

Material Point. The material point as an object of mechanics is characterized by two vectors of the four-dimensional space S_N:

• a. The position-time vector (x, t), x being the vector with the components x₁, x₂, x₃ in the 3-dimensional Euclidean space E₃. The reference systems in the space E₃ and in time are the Newtonian inertial reference systems.

• b. The impulse-energy vector (p, E), where the impulse has the components p₁, p₂, p₃ and E = E (α) is a function, unknown yet, of the invariant
