Abstract

Material Point. The material point as an object of mechanics is characterized by two vectors of the four-dimensional space SN:

  1. a.

    The position-time vector (x, t), x being the vector with the components x1, x2, x3 in the 3-dimensional Euclidean space E3. The reference systems in the space E3 and in time are the Newtonian inertial reference systems.

  2. b.

    The impulse-energy vector (p, E), where the impulse has the components p1, p2, p3 and E = E (α) is a function, unknown yet, of the invariant
