Abstract

This chapter is devoted to the development of the global and local balance laws. The general forms of the balance laws and jump conditions at a moving discontinuously surface sweeping through the body are given in Art. 2.2. The conservation of mass and microinertia are presented in Art. 2.3., the balance of momenta in Art. 2.4. The final section (Art. 2.5) of this chapter gives the expression of the local balance of energy and entropy and their associated jump conditions.
