Abstract
The aim of this paper is to give a simple and suitable approach to the vector and tensor algebra which represents a general and natural scheme for a wide range of applications. The essential feature of this scheme is the synthesis of notions of contravariance and covariance with the bra and ket forms. The main consequences of such an approach are investigated and an appropriate notation is developed.
