Abstract

We consider a mixture of N constituents. For convenience, we identify the set of constituents with the set {1,2,...,N}. We reserve the letters α and β for constituents. We will deal only with fluid mixtures; for such mixtures it is more convenient to work with the spatial description. Thus we let R denote a fixed region of space.
