Two-phase flow phenomena have been a topic of discussion and controversy for more than a half century. In the past decade, a serious examination has taken place and some insights are beginning to emerge. Nevertheless, most heat and mass transfer processes in a two-phase flow system are not yet well understood. The research approach normally conducted for the two-phase flow is the phenomenological approach.
