Preoperative Diagnostic Procedures
All authors pay special attention to preoperative diagnostic methods. In reviewing the relevant literature, it becomes obvious that emphasis is laid on angiography, on cerebral blood flow measurement with xenon, and recently on computer tomography as well. This emphasis is understandable considering the fact that routine examinations of patients, particularly those with a cerebral infarction, are taken for granted.
