Latissimus Dorsi Flap Reconstruction with Inverted T Mastectomy: Good Result
A 61-year-old patient was diagnosed with a 40 mm tumour in the left breast 2 cm above the nipple–areola complex in the upper outer quadrant. Histology found an invasive lobular cancer of intermediate grade, positive hormonal receptor status and a negative Her-2-neu. Clinically the breast was of large volume and showed a ptosis with the nipple being 4 cm beneath the inframammary fold. The patient desired smaller breasts and autologous reconstruction.
