Modified Reduction Mammoplasty for Cancer in the Upper Inner Quadrant
A 60-year-old woman underwent incisional biopsy for a 25 mm mass in the upper inner quadrant of the left breast at another hospital. Histology revealed a dermatofibrosarcoma of intermediate grade. Breast MRI revealed no further lesions in both breasts. Mastectomy with immediate reconstruction or breast conservation was discussed with the patient, and she decided to undergo a wide quadrantectomy.
